BGHFS provides quality child care to children in a safe and nurturing environment that advances the intellectual, social, cultural and recreational development of children.  Programs are operated in three separate sites throughout Siouxland.  Ages served vary by site.

BGHFS also provides an Early Head Start program which focuses on child development, family development, community building, and staff development, of which are embedded in the Head Start Performance Standards.  Services provided are provided for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years of age and are designed to reinforce and respond to the unique strengths and needs of each child and family.  These services include quality early education both in and out of the home.
