A Systems of Care Approach
to
Out-of-Home Services

Boys and Girls Home of Nebraska and DHHS will host an Out of Home Reform Forum to discuss the transition from Safety and In-Home Services to Out-of-Home Services through a reform effort and partnership. A presentation by DHHS Service Area Administrators and the Chief Operating Officer of Boys and Girls Home will provide an overview of the Out-of-Home Service Contract and how it will affect children, families, the court system, stakeholders and those working with child welfare. A question and answer opportunity will be provided to
those in attendance.
In addition, Judge William Byars (bio attached) will discuss court involvement with the reform process and allow questions and answers based on his experience and
knowledge.
Lunch will be provided, followed by an afternoon of presenters that will discuss an overview of the Systems of Care Model and how family and youth voice are directly linked to outcomes.
