MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN (Full and Part-time):

Second Shift (2pm-11pm) 

LOCATION: Sioux City, Iowa  

Positions supervising clients ages 6 - 18 in our Residential Services programs.  Participate in treatment plan development, group therapy, skills development and team meetings. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's Degree and one year full-time experience working with youth PREFERRED or High School/GED and two years full-time experience working with youth is required.. Excellent benefits package for FULL-TIME employees. Pre-hire background check required. 

 

 Middle/High SCHOOL TEACHER

LOCATION:  Sioux City, IA


Work with youth ages 12-18 in an alternative or residential setting.  This position requires an individual who can build a strong and nurturing rapport with students who have unique educational needs. 


Applicants must have the ability to create lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of the student, deliver clear, positive and enthusiastic lessons as well as possess strong classroom management skills.


Education and/or Experience:

Required:  A Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited institution with the state certification in secondary education.  Special Education certification preferred.  


SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

LOCATION:  Sioux City, IA


Be an integral part of improving the lives of children in a classroom setting.  Work with children ages 6-18 in an alternative or residential classroom environment. This position requires someone who can build nurturing rapport with students who have unique educational needs. Applicants must have the ability to deliver clear, positive and enthusiastic lessons and possess strong classroom management skills.

Schedule:  On-call, as needed to help with classroom coverage between the hours of 7am-3pm


Education and/or Experience:

Required:  Bachelor's Degree in Education from an accredited institution with state certification in elementary and/or secondary education.  Special Education certification preferred.



LPN/RN (Part-Time)

Location Sioux City, IA

We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in providing nursing services to children and adolescents ages 6-18 in a residential treatment setting. This position is responsible for documenting care rendered and coordinating treatment with othe disciplines.


Work Schedule: Flexible hours, up to 20 hours weekly, rotating on-call responsibilities 


Education and/or Experience

LPN or RN degree required, valid IA license required. One year of psychiatric experience preferred.




School Based Therapist (Full-Time)

LOCATION:  Sioux City, IA


We are currently seeking a qualified individual to work as a clinical therapist/social worker assigned to the Sioux City Community School District and thier buildings.  You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive array of clinical services, including but not limited to assessment, individual and family therapy.  This position follows SCCS calendar for scheduled vacation breaks.

 

  • Collaborate with SCCSD educators and administration to address presenting needs of children
  • Provide clinical individual support to students and families
  • Compile data necessary to fulfill requirements of the 4-year grant
  • Attend trainings to streamline modalities utilized by the SCCSD and integrate into therapeutic approach to aid students according to expectations of the School District
  • Provide training to education staff to assist in executing action plans within the classrooms

Education and/or Experience:
MSW or MA in a human services field from an accredited institution.  Two years of experience preferred. Full licensure preferred. Provisional license with a date of completion for licensure required.  Candidate will be employed by Boys and Girls Home and Family Services, Inc. as a partner in collaboration with the Sioux City Community School District.

Outpatient Therapist
LOCATION: Sioux Center, IA
         
This qualified individual will work as an out-patient therapist with elementary and adolescent aged children living in rural locations in Iowa, attending school in the Sioux Center, Iowa area. This position is responsible for providing a comprehensive array of clinical services including but not limited to, assessment, individual and family therapy.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
MSW or MA in human services field from an accredited institution required. Two years of experience preferred. Licensure as an independent practitioner or proof of progress and date of completion for licensure as an independent practitioner is required.
